Overview: While they may seem like self-centered prima donnas now, there is reason to believe that the newest members of today's workforce will have both the intelligence and sense of social responsibility to contribute in ways that will outlast their ridiculous haircuts. In the workplace, Gen Zers are going to expect flexibility. Do you know what that means in the terms this young group understands? Gen Z is going to have little interest in being a desk jockey for 40 hours a week. Instead, they'll view themselves as professional, permanent freelancers. They will swoop in with their particular expertise (they'll all be an expert in something), collect their bones and be off to the next project. At least that's how they see themselves. So before they're off to their next project, how do we, their wiser more mature elders, harness that energy before it's lost?

In this webinar we will be discussing:
  • The differences between Gen Y's, Gen X's and boomers and how to best fold in the young Gen Z member of your workforce
  • Their workplace preferences, values and career goals and how you can leverage what they have to offer so they too can contribute to your success
  • How to best sell to Gen Z and what changes you need to make in your organization to best serve them
  • Management approaches for the mix of generations
  • Challenges to managing this group you may not have thought about

Why should you attend: Studies of this dynamic group have found that while Gen Y is more optimistic, Gen Z is realistic and has a strong sense of career management, philanthropy and entrepreneurship. This self-sufficient and tech savvy generation also pose new threats and opportunities for managers, marketers and HR professionals. What do we know about Generation Z? Compared to previous generations, this generation is more individualistic, lack interpersonal skills, are poor listeners, and don't take suggestions well. Like it or not, the connected generation, millennials, digital natives, the net generation - whatever you call them, Generation Z will be making their way into your workforce soon. How, then, do you reach Generation Z? Don't be that ill-prepared manager this generation discounts as anyone worth listening to.
